GAIL Z. MARTIN. A ghostwriter, book editor, award-winning public relations writer, and adjunct professor of publicity writing at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. She has written for many industries, including real estate, banking, financial, health care, fitness, software/information services, trade associations, professional services, parenting, food and beverage, utilities, and more.
Gail’s books have sold over 600,000 copies. All of Gail’s books have hit bestseller lists on both sides of the Atlantic in the fantasy adventure category.
Gail is the author of the Chronicles of the Necromancer four-book series for Solaris Books (The Summoner, The Blood King, Dark Haven, Dark Lady’s Chosen). Her first book, The Summoner, went through three printings (30,000 copies) in less than six months from its launch date. She now writes for Orbit, one of the largest Sci-Fi/fantasy publishers in the US/UK.
Her books have been translated into multiple languages, and are selling in ebook and audiobook form, as well as in print. Her most recent fantasy adventure books are The Sworn and The Dread.
In the non-fiction category, Gail’s latest book, 30 Days to Social Media Success: The 30 Day Results Guide to Making the Most of Twitter, Blogging, LinkedIn, and Facebook is featured in every Fed Ex/Office and Office Max store in the United States. She is also the author of The Thrifty Author’s Series of books, including, Launching Your Book Without Losing Your Mind and others.
Her articles have appeared in over 35 publications including, Business Today, University City Magazine, Cabarrus Business and Lifestyles, Sojourners Magazine, and Pennsylvania. Selected from among a field of 18,000 entries, she is the winner of an award in the 74th Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition for her feature article work. Gail holds an MBA from Pennsylvania State University. Her corporate communications (from 20 years of publicity writing previously in corporate America) have yielded the following rewards: the IABC Silver Anvil Award, the BMA Pro-Ad Award, the APEX Award, and the PICA award.
